PRACTICAL GUIDE
Explained concepts, worked cases and practice to test your understanding. Numerical examples are hypothetical; replace assumptions with your instrument specifications.
The essentials
XTB uses xStation. Check its documentation for web and mobile options, account access and your entity's products. A shared interface does not mean identical instruments and terms across countries.
Understand the mechanism, not just the definition
On web and mobile, identify the product rather than relying on a symbol name. Check whether it is an owned asset or CFD, quantity unit, currency and costs. Availability varies by entity and residence. Compact interfaces may hide details in expanded specifications; open them before interpreting order value.
Example and verification
In demo, test instrument search, product details, size controls and history. Distinguish a share or ETF from its derivative when names are similar. When switching devices, check the connected account before an order.
Worked case, step by step
A company appears in two product records, one for ownership and one for derivative exposure. First identify each ticket’s contract and volume unit rather than choosing the more attractive chart. Use compatible demo or documentation without placing an order. Compare which information remains visible on mobile and which requires another panel.
What to verify when applying this
Compare the workflow with familiar platforms and confirm required features. Do not present xStation as MT4 or MT5. Funding methods and pricing need verification in the portal serving your residence.
Practice: verify it in your environment
Learn by observing the process and keeping its data. Complete this practice in demo or using documentation, without sending real orders or adding capital for the exercise. Record differences between the example and your account specifications.
- Document symbol, product, quantity and currency on web and mobile.
- Find the controls for costs, pending orders and open positions.
Test your understanding
Try the question before revealing the answer. Justify the conclusion and its assumptions rather than memorizing a number.
Does the same company name mean both tickets buy shares?
Reveal the explained answer
No. Check the specifications and contract for each product.
